Making Renewable Energy Accessible

Building the Power Grid of the Future

Flexfarmd is making renewable energy cheap, accessible and easy for small and large producers to build and manage their own microgrids.

We've identified a niche between large corporate utilities and expensive small-scale renewable generation, where costs, skills, forecasting discourage many would-be renewable energy producers from beginning projects. By offering kits for small-scale, and a crowdsourced collaboration platform to connect supporters with producers, Flexfarmd provides a venue for harnessing the power of many small producers into a collective force that can compete with huge utilities.

Leveraging skills learning building projects like this fleet tracker and other ML-based predictive maintenance and forecasting applications, we've built a scalable platform for building, managing, and optimizing renewable energy projects. Using Rails for the back end, Nuxt for the front end, and leveraging amazing open source projects for both real-time like Supabase and time-series like TimescaleDB, as well as Rust for embedded hardware, we've built a real-time platform for running small and large renewable projects.
